Rasool Sayyaf: Those Who Consider Killing Security Forces Halal Are Infidels
[Tolo News] During an event commemorating the third death anniversary of Professor Burhanuddin Rabbani
... the gentlemanly murdered legitimate president of Afghanistan...
--former Afghan president (1992-96)--Abdul Rab Rasool Sayyaf
...Afghan Salafist warlord, owned by Saudi Arabia. He was the guy who invited al-Qaeda to come into Afghanistan and make themselves at home...
spoke at Saturday's event showcasing his support for the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF).

Sayyaf addressed the audience, loudly and clearly, that those who believe that killing ANSF soldiers is "halal" (licit) are infidels themselves.

"Those who kill our coppers, national security forces and leaders of Jihad and claim that their deaths are obligatory and have called the act 'halal' (licit), in fact their actions are 'haram' (forbidden)," Sayyaf asserted. "Whoever does such a thing is an infidel and I announce it, again, right here that they are infidels."
So Rasool went and takfirred the takfiris...
He called on the ANSF to kill the enemies of religion and the country.

"It is the responsibility of the security forces to kill the enemies of religion and the country. It is essential."

Sayyaf went on to say that the jobs of the ANSF are the "most sacred and dignified" positions of the country.

At the end of the speech he called on those who have any reservations and/or objections to his statements made at the event to come forth and speak. Sayyaf, with emphasis, said he is willing and ready to reason with anyone.

US frees 14 more Pakistanis from Bagram prison
[DAWN] Fourteen Pak detainees were released from US custody in Bagram Prison in Afghanistan and repatriated to Pakistain on Saturday, a Pak legal firm representing some of the prisoners said.

Justice Project Pakistain (JPP) has been representing several Bagram detainees since 2010 in a bid to force the Pak government to bring them home.

So far no information has been provided by the Pak authorities on the names of the released detainees or their current whereabouts, said Sarah Belal, a lawyer with the JPP.

One of the released detainees is 29-year-old Abdul Halim Saifullah, Belal said, citing information from the Red Thingy.

She said he disappeared nine years ago from the southern city of Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
after dropping his father off at a hospital and has been detained in Bagram ever since.

Including the group released on Saturday, 39 Paks have been released from Bagram in the past 10 months. At least one Pak is thought to still be in prison there, although the exact numbers are unclear since no official list has been provided since 2012.

Sarah Belal, lead counsel for Justice Project Pakistain, said the government did not inform the families about the release and she feared the men may now be transferred to secret Pak prisons.

"We still don't know about the whereabouts of the nine detainees released last month. The lack of clarity with today's tranche gives us reason to fear that they too may be held incommunicado by the Pak authorities," she said.

The El-Sissi Interview: Had I Stood By, Radical Islam Would Have Sparked Egypt Civil War
In which we see how the chief of the Mamluks wishes to be seen.
[IsraelTimes] Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named on Saturday he is prepared to give whatever support is needed in the fight against the Islamic State group but called for a "comprehensive strategy" to tackle the roots of extremism across the region.

In his first interview with a foreign media outlet since taking office in June, el-Sissi sought to present himself and Egypt as at the vanguard of confronting militancy, citing it as the reason for his ouster of Egypt's first freely elected president more than a year ago -- a move that brought international criticism and strained ties with top ally the United States.

He told AP that Egyptians had realized the danger of "political Islam" and that if he had not acted, the Arab world's most populous nation would have faced "civil war" and bloodshed now seen in Iraq and Syria.

"I warned about the great danger a year ago," he said. "But it was not clear (to others) until the events in Iraq and the Islamic State's sweep" over much of that country.

El-Sissi did not elaborate on what support Egypt might give to the US-led coalition aimed at fighting the murderous Moslem group. When asked if Egypt might provide airspace access or logistical support for Arclight airstrikes, he said, "We are completely committed to giving support. We will do whatever is required."

But he appeared to rule out sending troops, saying Iraq's military is strong enough to fight the forces of Evil and "it's not a matter of ground troops from abroad."

Speaking in a chamber in his Ittihadiya presidential palace, he said it was "very important" to stop foreign faceless myrmidons from joining Death Eater groups in Syria and Iraq, warning that they will return to their home nations, including in Europe. But he said a broader strategy is needed that also addresses poverty and improves education in the region.

In his previous post as head of the military, el-Sissi ousted president Mohammed Morsi in July 2013 and launched a heavy crackdown on his Moslem Brüderbund movement. Since then, more than 1,000 have been killed and more than 20,000 imprisoned as police have crushed protests and rounded up Brotherhood leaders.

El-Sissi said the Brotherhood "had a chance to rule Egypt" but that Egyptians turned against it -- referring to the massive demonstrations in the summer of 2013 demanding Morsi's ouster.

Justifying the crackdown, he said the Brotherhood had "chosen confrontation." But he said followers of the group, which has been banned, could participate in politics in in the future if they renounce violence.

"To anyone who doesn't use violence, Egypt is very forgiving," he said. "The chance for participation is there."

JMB sought military skills from Maj Zia
[Dhaka Tribune] As conspiracies of Lion of Islam outfits Jamaat'ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh and Ansarullah Bangla Team continue to unfold, intelligence agencies have found a strong hint which suggests that religious snuffies in the country are receiving expertise from a runaway army officer, Maj Zia, in reorganising, planning and conducting anti-state activities.

The sensational information was unearthed on the first day of police interrogation of seven JMB members including its acting chief Abdullah Al Tasnim, who were tossed in the slammer

Trinamool-Jamaat link a matter of concern
[Dhaka Tribune] Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu said the reports on link between Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress and Jamaat-e-Islami
...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
, was a matter of grave concern both for Bangladesh and the West Bengal.

He said: The ongoing terrorist and krazed killer activities in the country have international links and that is also an alarming issue for the entire world.

The minister made the statement while addressing a party meeting at Faizullapur under Veramara upazila of Kushtia district on Saturday morning.

Regarding the reports on All India Trinamool Congress's involvement in funding Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh, he said: "The news of Jamaat's terrorist camps in West Bengal under Mamata Banarjee's government is a matter of grave concern both for us and India. But, we have an agreement with India over trans-border terrorism."

"The issue drew attention of our government and we are trying to stop cross border terror acts," Inu said.

The information minister alleged that the leaders of the western world talked about the eradication of global terrorism but they overlooked the terrorist and krazed killer activities in Bangladesh.

"Moreover, they sit with the loathesome Khaleda Zia
Three-term PM of Bangla, widow of deceased dictator Ziaur Rahman, head of the Bangla Nationalist Party, an apparent magnet for corruption ...
. This is really disappointing."

Inu urged the world leaders to ask Khaleda Zia to severe "ties" with holy warriors and war criminals, "if they are sincere about the fight against terrorism."

Australia To Introduce New Anti-Terror Laws
[IsraelTimes] Australia's government will next week introduce tough new legislation in parliament to tackle a growing threat of terrorism, reports said Saturday, in the aftermath of the biggest crackdown in the country's history.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott will seek sweeping counter-terrorism powers when the proposals go before the house on Wednesday, NewsCorp Australia reported.

Thursday's unprecedented raids in Sydney and Brisbane had foiled a plot by Islamic State jihadists to carry out gruesome "demonstration executions" that could have taken place within days, Abbott said.

Justice Minister Michael Keenan explained that the new laws would "modernize" existing legislation to counter such threats.

"The threat of the random act of violence that was acted upon on Thursday's raids is obviously quite different to the sorts of traditional terrorist activity that we might have been targeting," he told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation on Saturday.

"We need to make sure that we've got a regime in Australia that's modern and flexible," Keenan said but gave no details.

Security has been stepped up in the capital Canberra, and at military bases, airports and sporting events after parliament and government officials had been mentioned as potential targets in "chatter" between Lion of Islam networks in the Middle East and Australia.

Fifteen people were tossed in the slammer
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
when hundreds of coppers raided dozens of homes in Sydney and Brisbane on Thursday, but only one person remained in jug on Saturday, officials said.

Omarjan Azari, 22, was charged with planning a terrorist act that prosecutors said was intended to "shock, horrify and terrify" the community and involved the "random selection of persons to rather gruesomely execute" on camera.

Federal police had for the first time used preventive detention orders to hold three of the 15 without charge, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported. The men were released Friday.

The orders are designed to counter an imminent threat of attack and can be used to hold people for as long as 14 days.

But Abbott says current legislation is inadequate to fight the threats to Australia from groups such as the Islamic State organization, which he has described as the nation's greatest national security challenge.

Under the new powers, advocating a terrorist act will become illegal, The Weekend Australian said.

The new offense will carry a maximum five-year jail sentence and make it illegal for an individual to intentionally counsel, promote, encourage or urge a terrorist act, the newspaper said.

Police will also be given powers to secretly search the homes of suspects.

The government will further seek powers to proscribe visits to cities or regions where terror groups are active. People traveling to such areas without a valid reason could face prosecution.

"There's legislation that will shortly come before the parliament to boost the range of offenses," Abbott said Thursday.

"It's not always easy to prove that someone has been engaged in terrorist activity overseas.

"It's often very hard to get witnesses... so we'll be strengthening offenses in this area," he said.

The government believes up to 60 Australians are fighting alongside IS jihadists, while another 100 are actively working to support the movement at home.

Canberra has committed 600 troops and aircraft to the US-led coalition gearing up to destroy the IS organization in Iraq.

US: $10 Million Bounty On Killers Of Foley, Sotloff
[IsraelTimes] The US Senate has unanimously approved a bill providing up to $10 million for information leading to the arrest or conviction of people involved in executing two American journalists murdered by jihadists.

"One way we can honor the memories of James Foley and Steven Sotloff is to bring their evil murderers to justice, which this measure will help do," Senator Marco Rubio said Friday.

Rubio, from Sotloff's home state of Florida, said it was important to send the message "that the United States will work tirelessly to ensure that the deaths of these beloved journalists do not go unpunished."

Extremists from the Islamic State group, which has taken over swaths of territory in Iraq and Syria, published graphic videos in August and September showing the beheadings of Foley and Sotloff.

"Our country lost two of its own, and we must do everything possible to bring the faceless myrmidons who committed these atrocities to justice," said Senator Jeanne Shaheen.

The measure would authorize the secretary of state to provide the money under the State Department's Rewards for Justice program, which was established in 1984.

The bill would need to pass the House of Representatives before it goes to President Barack Obama
We're gonna punish our enemies and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us...
for his signature.

However,
a lie repeated often enough remains a lie...
this is unlikely to happen until after November's mid-term elections, because Congress has just begun a seven-week recess.

International-UN-NGOs
Diplomats: Iran Open To Softened US Nuke Proposal
[IsraelTimes] With Iran refusing US demands that it gut its uranium enrichment program, the two sides are now discussing a new proposal that would leave much of Tehran's enriching machines in place but disconnected from feeds of uranium, diplomats told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named Saturday.

The talks have been stalled for months over Iran's opposition to sharply reducing the size and output of centrifuges that can enrich uranium to levels needed for reactor fuel or weapons-grade material used in the core of nuclear warheads. Iran says its enrichment program is only for peaceful purposes, but Washington fears it could be used to make a bomb.

Time is running out before a Nov. 24 deadline and both sides are eager to break the impasse.
"No matter what it is, we must have an agreement -- I've a fixed tee time I refuse to miss," is not being said aloud in front of witnesses.
Ahead of the resumption of talks Friday, The New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...
reported that Washington was considering putting a new plan on the table that would focus on removing piping connecting the centrifuges.

That would allow the US leeway on modifying demands that Iran cut the number of centrifuge machines from 19,000 to no more than 1,500.

Two diplomats told the AP that Tehran, which would gain an end to crippling nuclear-related sanctions as part of any deal, was initially non-committal at a bilateral meeting in August. But they say the proposal has now moved to being discussed at the talks Tehran is holding with the US and five other powers, and that the Islamic Theocratic Republic was listening closely.
Of course.
Both diplomats demanded anonymity because their information is confidential.

While only a proposal, the plan would allow the Iranians to claim that they did not compromise on vows that they would never emasculate their enrichment capabilities, while keeping intact American demands that the program be downgraded to a point where it could not be quickly turned to making bombs.
How clever, someone no doubt is thinking...
But any plan could founder due to opposition to major compromises at the negotiating table from Iranian hardliners as well as US congressional critics, and a group of 31 Republican senators quickly criticized the proposal.

Warning of "troubling nuclear concessions to Iran," the Republican senators expressed grave concerns about the new initiative and the possible softening of Washington's stance on other issues, in a letter dated Sept. 19 and sent to US Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State...
Among the signatories was Republican Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois, who was behind many of the sanctions slapped on Iran over its nuclear defiance.

The talks bring Iran to the negotiating table with the United States, Russia, China, Britannia, La Belle France and Germany on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. That means US Secretary of State John Kerry and his counterparts will likely join in, adding their diplomatic muscle to the meeting.

.Ahead of the talks, chief US negotiator Wendy Sherman acknowledged that the sides "remain far apart" on the size and scope of Iran's uranium enrichment capacity.

Iran's demands that it be allowed to keep its program at its present size and output are not acceptable and will not give Iran what it wants -- an end to the nuclear-related sanctions choking its economy, she told news hounds.

"We must be confident that any effort by Tehran to break out of its obligations will be so visible and time-consuming that the attempt would have no chance of success," she said of Washington's push for deep, long-lasting cuts.

Other contentious issues are what to do with an underground enrichment plant near the village of Fordo and with a reactor under construction near the city of Arak.

The US wants the Fordo facility converted to non-enrichment use because it's heavily fortified against underground attack. And it wants the reactor converted to reduce to a minimum its production of plutonium, an alternate pathway to nuclear arms.

The deadline was extended to Nov. 24 after the sides failed to reach agreement by the end of July.

Iraq
Peshmerga's Female Fighters Prepare For Battle Against ISIS
[ABNA.IR] As fighting continues to rage between ISIS and its enemies in Iraq and Syria, the female soldiers fighting within the Kurdish Peshmerga have gained increasing prominence.

Unlike many neighboring militaries in the Middle East, the Peshmerga allow women into their military force. Female Kurds serve on the front lines alongside their male companions. Women are able to climb the leadership ladder of the Peshmerga too, although they are capped at the level of regiment commander.

The military force also plays a strong role in helping to combat the practice of honor killings, and the organization encourages the education of women -- fighters have to be literate in order to join the force.

ISIL Sudanese mufti distributes heavenly women among his followers!
[ABNA.IR] Recently, one of the ISIL muftis in Sudan, with distorting the narrations of Prophet Muhammad (PTUI!), has tried to induce young Sudanese to join terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria.

To encourage his audience he distributed Hoor Al-ayn (heavenly women) among them and said: "Whoever to be killed at the hands of the heretics will receive 72 virgin Hoor Al-ayn in janat (heaven) and they can intercede for 70 members of their families on the Day of Judgment.

He continued: "But, whoever to be killed at the hands of Americans will receive 144 virgin Hoor Al-ayn in janat and they are able to intercede for 140 members of their families.

It was not enough for him, so he falsely added another narrative and said: "Our prophet allowed us to kill children and women of infidels"!

Al Qaeda Ideologue Calls For Freeing British Hostage
Al Q vs. ISIS, round 3:
[IsraelTimes] A renowned jihadi ideologue on Saturday urged the Islamic State group to release British aid worker Alan Henning, saying Islam forbids harming non-Moslems who work with relief agencies.
"But tourists, journalists, and those working for neutral parties are fair game," he added. "Jihadis have to find some reward for their sacrifices."
Abu Mohammed al-Maqdisi, who was released by Jordan in June after serving a five-year sentence on terror charges, said in a statement posted on his website that non-Moslems who aid needy Moslems should be protected.

The Islamic State group has released grisly videos showing the beheading of two American journalists and a British aid worker. It has threatened to kill Henning -- a British former taxi driver who was taken captive in December shortly after crossing into Syria from Turkey in an aid convoy -- in retaliation for US and European military action against it.

Also known as Essam al-Barqawi, al-Maqdisi was the mentor of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, who was killed in a US Arclight airstrike in 2006.

Al-Maqdisi said Henning worked with a charitable organization led by Moslems which sent several aid convoys to help the Syrian people. "Is it reasonable that his reward is being kidnapped and slaughtered? ... He should be rewarded with thanks."

"We call on the (Islamic) State to release this man (Henning) and other aid group employees who enter the land of Moslems with a guarantee of protection... according to the judgment of Shariah law," he said, adding that he hoped to "protect the image of Islamic Shariah law from being disfigured."

Al-Maqdisi said Abu Qatada, a locked away
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
Jordanian preacher described as a onetime lieutenant to the late Osama bin Laden
... who used to be alive but now he's not...
, had asked the Islamic State group eight months ago to release Henning. He said Abu Qatada's son told him that the group denied holding Henning.

Al-Maqdisi went on to criticize the group for attacking fellow Moslems in Iraq and Syria, where it has carved out a self-styled caliphate by seizing territory from Syrian and Iraqi forces as well as Syrian rebels fighting to oust Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Oppressor of the Syrians and the Lebs...
The Islamic State group has its roots in al-Qaeda's Iraqi affiliate but was expelled from the global terror network over its brutal tactics and refusal to obey orders to confine its activities to Iraq.

The hard boy group has been widely denounced by mainstream Moslem authorities.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran has 'role' in fighting IS militants, Kerry accepts
[DAWN] Washington's arch-foe Iran has a role to play in tackling Islamic State (IS) bully boyz who have overrun large swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria, US Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State...
said.

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said this week that his government had rejected a request from the United States for cooperation on the battlefield.

US officials have not confirmed or denied making an offer in private, but they do not regard Iran as part of the coalition they are building to fight the IS bully boy scourge.

Kerry said Friday that in combating the jihadist threat "there is a role for nearly every country to play, including Iran."

Just last week, the top US diplomat had said it would be inappropriate to invite Iran to meetings seeking to building an international coalition because of Tehran's "engagement in Syria and elsewhere."

Iran is actively supporting Iraq's government against IS jihadists, and helping Syria in its battle against both the IS group and unaffiliated rebel groups.

#1  Kerry said Friday that in combating the jihadist threat "there is a role for nearly every country to play, including Iran."

Yes John, we sensed this, when so very little was said by the regime regarding Iranian re-supply overflights of Iraq over the past few years.

#2  Iran has an air force and they're allies of Syria. Why isn't the Iranian air force bombing the ISIS armour columns that I'm reading about?

I can't believe that Iraq objects to they crossing their air space. Something stinks here.

Syrian Opposition Activist In Jerusalem: Assad A Bigger Threat Than IS
[Ynet] Dr. Kamal Al-Labwani criticizes Obama for his inaction on Syria, calls for a no-fly zone over northern and southern Syria and more humanitarian aid.

Dr. Kamal Al-Labwani is on a mission - to help overthrow the Syrian regime which he says is responsible for the death of 400,000 Syrians and the displacement, both inside and outside the country, of ten million. To achieve that mission he will do almost anything, including a visit to Israel, a long-time enemy of Syria.
It does suggest a serious level of desperation, yes. How will ISIS, al Nusra, et al respond when he gets back home?
"I thank the Israeli people and the Jewish community in the US for all of the humanitarian aid they have given the Syrian people," Al-Lubwani told journalists. "I have visited the Holocaust museum here and this is a crime until today."

He compared the killing in Syria since the civil war began in 2011 to the Holocaust during World War II, which killed six million Jews.

"You understand more than any people in the world what a massacre is," Al-Labwani told journalists, including some Israelis, at the Jerusalem Press Club. "Bashir al-Assad commits serious crimes like in the Holocaust."

Al-Labwani called for an internationally enforced no-fly zone in both northern and southern Syria and humanitarian aid entering Syria via the Golan Heights, which Israel captured from Syria in the 1967 Six-Day War. That area has recently seen heavy fighting between Syrian rebels and troops loyal to Assad, and this week the United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
moved all of its troops from the area into Israel. He called on Israel and other states to send more humanitarian aid across the border between Syria and Israel.

The Syrian activist, who is also a medical doctor, is on a ten-day visit to Israel. He would not say who sponsored his trip or who he is meeting with while in the country, except to say that it includes Israelis from across the political spectrum.

He said he came to Israel across the Allenby Bridge from Jordan, with an Israeli-government issued visa.

Al-Labwani was a doctor in the army during the 1982 massacre at Hama, when Syrian troops killed between 10,000 and 40,000 Syrian citizens to quell an uprising from the Moslem Brüderbund. He spent most of the years from 2001--2011 in a Syrian prison for his human rights
...which often include carefully measured allowances of freedom at the convenience of the state...
activism and for forming the Syrian Liberal Democratic Union in 2001, one of the first opposition groups in Syria.

Since then, Al-Labwani has worked in Turkey as a member of the Syrian National Council, which tried to unite the opposition factions. Then, after the Syrian National Council's dissolution, as a member of the General Secretariat and Committee of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Oppositionist Forces. In early 2014, he withdrew from the National Coalition and has been working independently ever since. Dr Labwani also became known for his public call for Israel to take a clearer stand and intervene on the side of the moderate Syrian Opposition.

He criticized US President B.O.'s focus on Islamic State (IS) at the expense of confronting Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Light of the Alawites...
"Four thousand people have been killed by IS and 400,000 by the regime -- who is the bigger terrorist?" he asked. "For me IS is only a small problem, but the Syrian government is a much bigger problem."

Al-Labwani said that IS currently controls 40 percent of the land in Syria, although it has few followers among the Syrian people, while the regime controls another 40 percent. He said many of those who have joined the ranks of IS did so for economic reasons. If the economy in Syria improved, he said, many of them would leave IS.

Israel has been reticent to get involved in the fighting in Syria. While it has treated at least 800 Syrian patients in Israeli hospitals and sent some humanitarian aid, it has said the fighting in Syria is an internal matter. Privately, Israeli officials have said that they prefer the Assad regime to stay in place, as the border between Israel and Syria has been relatively quiet.

Friday Prayers Leader Blames US, Regional Allies for Formation of ISIL
[ABNA.IR] Addressing a large and fervent congregation of the people on Tehran University campus on Friday, Ayatollah Jannati questioned the US sincerity in forming the so-called anti-ISIL coalition, and said, "Who has formed the ISIL but the US and Israel as well as Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
which is a branch of the US and Israel?"

"Who gives them such a large amount of money?" he added.

Iran Offers 8-Point Plan to Counter Extremism
[ABNA.IR] In the UN Security Council debate on the situation concerning Iraq, held in New York on Friday, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Seyed Abbas Araqchi lashed out at the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorist group for its "abhorrent brutality and shocking savagery".

Pointing to a so-called international coalition against the ISIL, the Iranian official called on the coalition members to pursue a serious strategy.

Araqchi then put forward an eight-point proposal, which he said a comprehensive strategy to defeat extremism should include.

#1  Had trouble getting past Points 1 and 3. Fighting according to UN principles? What might they be? Point 3 focuses on encouraging all states and tapping all capacities in the region to fight the war against extremism and terrorism… Iran has been a big supporter of terrorism in the region, are they going to stop this? Iran has a lot of chutzpah since their fingers and hands all over regional terrorism.

#3  He was counting on those like me who have a short attention span--I should have known better. It's always about the fake claim that the Jews are illegally occupying so-called Arab lands in Israel. ISIL and Iran are on the same page on that one as are the other Muslim countries.

Maybe we should require a Number 9 condition where Iran stops their nuke weapon program as a condition or gets destroyed--except that doesn't happen under this feckless president.

Iran, China Prepare To Conduct Unprecedented Joint Naval Drills
[IsraelTimes] For the first time, Chinese warships docked in an Iranian port Saturday as Beijing and Tehran prepared to conduct a series of joint naval drills.

"Discussing and studying the two countries' naval relief and rescue operations and drills, confronting sea incidents and accidents, and gaining the necessary technical preparedness, are among the actions to be practiced with the Chinese army forces," the commander of Iran's First Naval Zone, Admiral Amir Hossein Azad, said on Saturday, according to the semi-official news agency Fars.

"The voyage of the Chinese army's fleet of warships for the first time in the Persian Gulf waters is aimed at joint preparation of Iran and China for establishing peace, stability, tranquility and multilateral and mutual cooperation," he added.

The arrival of the Chinese ships came a few days after the Iranian Navy thwarted a pirate attack on a Chinese container ship in the Gulf of Aden, according to the report.

The Chinese carrier was reportedly en route from Singapore to Jeddah, Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, and continued on its journey after the thwarted attack.

The Iranian Navy has been in the Gulf of Aden, off the coast of Somalia, since November 2008 to conduct anti-piracy patrols and "to protect the country's cargo ships and oil tankers against pirates."

That year, Somali pirates attacked an Iranian-chartered fat merchantman off the coast of Yemen.

The navy fleet has escorted 670 military and cargo ships since then, Fars reported.

Last year, Iranian ships were in the Sea of China "to deliver Iran's message of peace and friendship to the Chinese," Fars reported.

Terror Networks
Inside The Hierarchy Of The Islamic State
[Ynet] Documents extracted from home of IS military leader in Iraq show organization leader al-Baghdadi has two deputies to help run Iraq and Syria territories respectively, as well as a 7-man cabinet and governors running the different regions.

Documents seized in an Iraqi military raid of the home of an Islamic State leader reveal the governing structures of the new self-declared caliphate for the first time, according to new data by the Terrorism Research and Analysis Consortium (TRAC).

The information, extracted from memory sticks taken from the home of ISIS military chief of staff in Iraq, Abu Abdul Rahman al-Bilawi, who was killed in the military raid, shows how the jihadist group has gone from being a strictly military force to an organization that can provide state bureaucratic services like gas, food and legislation to the 4 million people in its conquered territories.

Government
Susan Rice bolts from podium at White House press briefing
The National Security Advisor of the United States did something astonishing Friday. In the middle of a reporter's questioning, she bolted from the podium of the White House pressroom, saying, "Nice to see you," fleeing a situation she evidently was unable to cope with.

The question that caused Ms. Rice to flee was a fairly simple one: whether or not the president has authorized the bombing of targets in Syria. Rice responded multiple times that the timing of strikes would not be released, but that was not the question at hand, and reporters pressed her on whether her boss had authorized strikes. This she could not answer. Did she not know? Or had he not bothered to sign the authorization? Or did she get her information from Valerie Jarrett and not know the details? We don't know because she ran away.

The National Security Advisor is the one person in a White House who is required to have nerves of steel, the person who places the 3 AM phone call waking up the president in a time of crisis, the person who is expected to have options and plans available for the the POTUS. The person who takes the measure of the enemy and explains to the nation's chief executive the risks and the possibilities in a situation of extreme peril.

And the current incumbent, when she has a difficult question being pressed by a reporter, flees, as in turns tail and runs away.
It's likely there's less here than meets the eye. The question was 'yes/no.' She didn't want to answer it and they kept pressing her. She didn't want to say 'that information is classified,' for both OPSEC and political reasons. Best thing to do was to just leave when the news hounds wouldn't take the hint.

I am starting to believe this is "wag the dog" behavior. A press that six months ago would have pilloried nowhere man for mentioning military activity in Iraq is now literally beating the drum for the bombs to fall.

Taken with the long delay in action by the administration, I believe this is part of a more complex PR campaign to mask an issue that would bring the house of cards crashing down around the ears of the administration.

Something is going on behind the curtain...guesses?
