Somali extremist group confirms killing of senior commander
[Ynet] The Somali Islamic Lion of Islam group al-Shabaab
... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia...
is confirming that one of its top commanders was killed by a US Arclight airstrike in July.

The SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors Lion of Islam groups, says al-Shabaab issued a statement Monday confirming the killing of Ali Muhammad Hussein, also known as Ali Jabal.

A statement from the US Africa Command in early August said the strike on July 30 killed Jabal. It said Jabal was "responsible for leading al-Shabaab forces operating in the Mogadishu and Banadiir regions in planning and executing attacks against the capital of Mogadishu."

The strike reportedly hit an al-Shabaab stronghold in the Lower Shabelle region of southern Somalia.

Al-Shabaab often carries out deadly attacks on high-profile targets in Mogadishu and elsewhere in the Horn of Africa country.

And in Sinai's coastal city of el-Arish, a bully boy sniper killed a policeman on duty at a checkpoint. That attack also happened on Sunday night.

9 UN peacekeepers hurt in Mali by roadside bomb attack
[Ynet] UN officials say nine peacekeepers have been maimed when their convoy was hit by a roadside kaboom in northern Mali.

Oliver Salgado, front man for the UN mission in Mali, said the violence took place Sunday along the road between the northern towns of Aguel'hoc and Tessalit.

Salgado said the maimed peacekeepers had been evacuated for medical treatment.

Such attacks have become increasingly common in northern Mali, where a number of Islamic Lion of Islam groups are active. Earlier this month, an attack on a UN camp in Timbuktu killed seven people.

The UN mission has been working to stabilize Mali, where jihadists seized control of the north in 2012 before a French-led military operation scattered them the following year. UN convoys and the Malian military have been frequent targets.

About 8 a.m. on Thursday, Michigan State Police raided the Dearborn Medical Clinic, where a doctor is accused of over prescribing opiates.

Lt. Mike Shaw of the State Police described the clinic, located at Warren and Yinger Avenues, as a "pill mill" and said oxycodone is the drug most prescribed. It was attracting patients from all over at all hours of the day and night, becoming disruptive to the neighborhood.

"People lined up here at the three in the morning," said Shaw. "And you’ve got nothing but people lined up around this neighborhood sitting in chairs. They actually ordered food in, to come to this place. When we actually hit the door there were people out here smoking marijuana right in the doorway, right as our officers hit the place."

Dr.Mohammad Derani allegedly prescribed more than 500,000 opioid pills since January 2017.

Iraq
Iraqi airstrikes smokes 10 ISIS Bad Guys

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Ten Islamic State militants were killed in an airstrike in western Anbar, a security source from the province was quoted saying.

Speaking to AlSumaria News, the source said, “U.S.-led coalition launched an airstrike targeting IS rest house in Rawa city, west of Ramadi city,” the source told AlSumaria News.

“The airstrike destroyed the rest house and left 10 militants, who were inside, killed,” according to the source, who preferred anonymity.

In related news, Iraqi air force dropped hundreds of thousands of messages on western Anbar regions as well as southwest of Kirkuk.

A statement by the Defense Ministry’s War Media Cell said on Monday that “jets dropped hundreds of thousands of leaflets after midnight on Hawija as well as Qaim, Rawa, Annah and Okashat regions. They included news on victories by troops as well as IS defeats and threatened IS militants that they either have to surrender or die.”

On Sunday, Jazeera Operations Command said five militants were killed while trying to infilitrate from Houran region into al-Baghdadi town in western Anbar.

Fighter jets from the Iraqi army and the international coalition regularly pound IS locations in the province.

Anbar’s western towns of Anah, Qaim and Rawa are still held by the extremist group since 2014, when it occupied one third of Iraq to proclaim a self-styled Islamic Caliphate. Iraqi troops were able to return life back to normal in the biggest cities of Anbar including Fallujah, Ramadi and others after recapturing them.

In late July, a military source was quoted saying that Lt.Gen Abdul-Amir Yarallah, commander of the Nineveh Operations, ordered to besiege IS havens in western Anbar preparing to invade them.

Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi announced in a televised speech on Sunday the beginning of offensive to recapture the town, which has been held by the gunnies since 2014, when the hard boy group first emerged to proclaim its self-styled ’caliphate’.

IDF searching for Palestinian in West Bank as gun found in car
[IsraelTimes] The Israel Defense Forces launched a search on Monday for a Paleostinian man who ran from soldiers in the West Bank.

The army said the suspect fled from his vehicle at a traffic stop near the settlement of Shavei Shomron, northwest of Nablus.

Soldiers found a gun in the suspect’s car, the IDF said.

A photo of the M-4 showed the weapon was replete with a scope and forward grip, which are commonly found on army weapons.

Most of the guns captured by IDF troops in the West Bank are homemade "Carlos," whose street value is significantly lower than military issued weapons.

Jihadist: More Than 170 Islamic State-Inspired Terrorists Arrested In Gaza
[Breitbart] Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, security forces tossed in the calaboose over 170 Islamic State-inspired jihadists last week, senior Gazoo-based jihadist Abou Baker al-Maqdesi told Breitbart Jerusalem.

According to al-Maqdesi, who is aligned with IS ideology, the Salafi jihadists were arrested on Sunday morning in the wake of the kaboom last week on the border between Egypt and Gazoo in which a Hamas security officer was killed while detaining a jihadist who was trying to infiltrate the Sinai Peninsula.

The incident occurred early Thursday morning when a Salafi went kaboom! next to Hamas security personnel after being stopped at a checkpoint along with another jihadist. The two planned to infiltrate Sinai but were caught by surprise by Hamas security personnel. During the ensuing security check, the Salafi triggered his explosives, killing one of the Hamas members.

Hamas immediately embarked on a wide-ranging wave of arrests, al-Maqdesi stated, resulting in the detention of over 170 individuals. He also said that Hamas raided the homes of dozens more. According to al-Maqdesi, Hamas members were among those arrested, suspected of supporting the Islamic State and the organization’s ideology.

A security source in Hamas confirmed the report to Breitbart Jerusalem and said that three boom belts were discovered during the wave of arrests and investigations are being conducted in order to determine if the jihadists were intending to use the weapons against Hamas or Egyptian security forces.

The security source in Hamas said that it was decided in wake of the incident to create a committee to consider how to deal with the Salafis politically, religiously and educationally, beyond the security-minded approach.

Ziad al-Zaza, a member of Hamas’ politburo, told journalists in Gazoo that the movement is continuing the wave of arrests against the Salafis who identify with IS. al-Zaza denied the reports published in various news outlets that during the arrests Hamas discovered headquarters and training camps for the Salafis and claimed that the Salafis have no command center or training grounds in the Gazoo Strip.

According to al-Zaza, Hamas Sherlocks are updating the Egyptians regarding the investigation into the kaboom that killed a Hamas member and that an open hotline began operating between Hamas and the Egyptian leadership in order to follow the investigation, especially in light of the fact that the perpetrator of the attack was on his way to infiltrate Egyptian territory.

Al-Zaza accused Israel and Israeli intelligence organizations of funding the Salafis in order to carry out operations for Israel.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, Butch shot Black Bart's gun out of his hand......
one of the Salafi organizations has warned Hamas against continuing the wave of arrests and threatened to continue attacks against the Jewish state.

The group, Liwa al-Tawhid, is a Salafi sect that identifies with IS, some of whose members were formerly part of the National Resistance Committee, which took part with Hamas in the abduction of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

In a statement from the group, they claimed that Hamas arrested some of their members and they won’t respond kindly. They warned Hamas that they would be forced to respond if the wave of arrests, which they said "crosses all red lines," continues. The organization promised to continue their attempts to harm Israel.

Nine Killed in Philippines Militant Attack
[AnNahar] Islamist gunnies killed nine people and injured ten others as they attacked a town in the Philippines at dawn Monday, burning houses in which women and kiddies were sleeping, police said.

About 60 members of the notorious Abu Sayyaf
...also known as al-Harakat al-Islamiyya, an Islamist terror group based in Jolo, Basilan and Zamboanga. Since its inception in the early 1990s, the group has carried out bombings, kidnappings, murders, head choppings, and extortion in their uniquely Islamic attempt to set up an independent Moslem province in the Philippines. Abu Sayyaf forces probably number less than 300 cadres. The group is closely allied with remnants of Indonesia's Jemaah Islamiya and has loose ties with MILF and MNLF who sometimes provide cannon fodder...

island in the southern Mindanao region and began shooting, local police chief John Cundo told AFP.

"This is an act of terrorism and cowardice. When our forces engaged them in a 45-minute firefight and they felt our numbers and volume of fire they backed away and fled," Cundo said.

"What is unfortunate is that women and kiddies were affected as they were still sleeping when this happened."

The turbans burned four houses and a day care centre in the town of Maluso, Cundo said, adding police and the military were conducting "hot pursuit" operations against the gunnies.

group.

It is not clear whether that faction was involved in Monday's attack on Maluso, although its members are among turbans who have been occupying since May parts of Marawi, the largely Catholic nation's most important Islamic city.

The turbans have withstood a US-backed military offensive in Marawi that has claimed more than 700 lives and displaced nearly 400,000 people.

President Rodrigo Duterte has imposed martial law across the southern third of the Philippines, including Basilan, to quell the Lion of Islam threat.

Following Monday's attack, residents evacuated their homes in fear and authorities sent more troops to secure the area, according to Cundo.

The Abu Sayyaf had launched similar attacks on the town in previous years, Cundo added.

The incident came a day after the military rescued a Vietnamese hostage of the Abu Sayyaf also on Basilan island after nine months in captivity.
Ynet adds:

Hezbollah using combat drones against Daesh terrorists in Syria
[Iran Press TV] The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement says it has used weaponized unmanned aerial vehicles to strike the positions of the ISIS Takfiri

murderous Moslems in the strategic and mountainous region of Qalamoun close to the border with Leb.

Hezbollah’s media bureau announced in a statement on Monday that it had deployed the drones to hit ISIS positions, bunkers and fortifications in the area, located about 330 kilometers (205 miles) north of the Syrian capital Damascus.

Video footage released by the media unit, seemingly taken from a drone, showed two types of missiles, one of them with a tail fin, cruising towards the ground and subsequent kabooms as they struck the designated targets.

Earlier on Monday, Hezbollah’s media bureau reported that the Lebanese resistance fighters and Syrian government forces had wrested complete control over Shoubat al-Dowab and Shoubat Beit Shuker heights in the western outskirts of Qalamoun.

It added that Hezbollah fighters and Syrian army soldiers were in control of the strategic Qornat Shoubat Aakko district near al-Jarajir village in Syria’s southwestern province of Rif Dimashq.
