[WASHINGTONTIMES] The White House said Monday that President B.O. believes a ban on bullets commonly used with the AR-15 rifle will save coppers' lives. Cops are dropping left and right, shot with AR-15s. Right?
"We are looking at additional ways to protect our brave men and women in law enforcement, and believe that this process is valuable for that reason alone," said White House press secretary Josh Earnest.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is accepting public comment on an administration proposal to ban .223 M855 "green tip" ammunition most often used with AR-15 rifles. House politicians from both parties, as well as sportsmen and some law enforcement officials, are objecting the move.
Mr. Earnest called it a "common-sense step."
"The president has long believed that there are some common-sense steps that we can take ... to ensure that we're protecting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans while also taking some common-sense steps to prevent people who shouldn't have guns from getting them," he said. "A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again."
Mr. Earnest added, "This seems to be an area where everyone should agree that if there are armor-piercing bullets available that can fit into easily concealed weapons, that it puts our law enforcement at considerably more risk."

The lefties are going after a particular type of ammunition even though there is no problem with it. If they were able to do this, they would then go after other ammunition, and then more. The federal agency issued a challenge on Monday for individuals and businesses to invent a "wearable alcohol biosensor" that shows a person's blood alcohol level in real time. The government envisions a device that can be worn by Americans "in the course of their daily lives."
I had two sips of wine on Saturday, though I did reduce about a cup of wine in the course of making a double batch of chili -- possibly I breathed in some of the fumes. I can understand that a Fitbit-type bracelet might be of use when going out drinking, but under what other circumstances?
"Current technologies for real time monitoring of alcohol consumption, used in criminal justice applications, have performed adequately, but have disadvantages for broader use," the NIH said in a notice announcing the challenge in the Federal Register. "Broader use"......Fallopian tube disrupter ?
The NIH's National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) said it wants a device that can store data on how much a person drinks.
"The device should be inconspicuous, low profile, and appealing to the wearer," the notice said. "The design can take the form of jewelry, clothing, or any other format located in contact with the human body. A non-invasive technology is preferred."

The steering wheel braced I-pot, or dash mounted cellie [where I see a great many being used] could send a signal to an electric squib which ignites an explosive charge [think claymore mine] killing or disabling the driver/operator instantly. A remote 'command detonator' could be sold separately.
My personal interest lies in the remote command detonator and the 5 county sales district which I intend to apply for.

Maybe the Pubs should encourage her to run. Although, I am not confident they would take advantage of the "chew toy" handed to them. Moreover, many uninformed lefty voters would vote for her just because she is a woman (although that has not been established for certain) much like the POTUS we got in 2008--white guilt and sexist guilt or just because they think it would be "cool" to have the 1st woman POTUS.

The Pubs would be reluctant to go after her during the run up to the election because they would be afraid to be branded as anti-woman. You can be sure the Donks would do that every chance they got.
