Yesterday we learned that he is the child of Iranian refugees, was born in France, and converted to Islam in 2015 through an online ISIS supporter. He is also connected to spree French jihad killers Larossi Aballa and Adel Kermiche. Also, while in prison he went through a deradicalization program, and lied about having been deradicalized.
