In the Pokrovsky direction the number of military clashes increased to 35, and in the Khar'kov direction - to 10.
The main hostilities continue in the areas of Liptsy and Volchansk. The Russians, with the support of aviation, are trying to put pressure on the defense. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on the evening of May 16.
It is noted that the occupiers carried out 32 air strikes using 38 KABs and carried out 181 artillery shelling.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian occupation forces continue to attack in the areas of Sinkovka, Ivanovka and Berestovoy. Another military clash was added near Myasozharovka.
In the Liman direction, the invaders tried eight times to break through the defenses of our defenders.
In the Seversky direction, the Russians launched an air strike near Sporny.
The situation in the Pokrovsky direction remains the hottest at present. There, the number of military clashes increased to 35. At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers, with their decisive actions, continue to inflict losses on the occupation forces in manpower and equipment and restrain the enemy.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 12 enemy attacks. The occupiers are concentrating their efforts in the areas of Georgievka, Novomikhailovka and Krasnogorovka. Elizavetovka came under attack from enemy aircraft.
In the Vremiv direction, since the beginning of the current day, the enemy has increased the number of military clashes to eight. In particular, battles took place near Staromayorsky, Nikolsky and Urozhayny.
In the Dnieper direction, the Russian Federation also attacked Ukrainian defenders eight times near Krynoki today. It was not successful; information about the losses of the occupiers is being clarified.
There were no significant changes in the situation in the Kramatorsk, Toretsky, Gulyai-Polye and Orekhovsky directions.
During the day, aviation and missile forces of the Defense Forces inflicted defeat on 12 areas where personnel were concentrated, two control points, two artillery weapons, and a UAV control point of the Russian occupiers.
