| Music shops destroyed in Landi Kotal |

| Three explosions late on Tuesday rocked music shops in the Landi Kotal bazaar, but no casualties were reported. According to sources, militant organisation Amer Bil Maroof claimed responsibility for the incidents and left a letter in the bazaar warning all video and music shop owners to stop spreading 'vulgarity' in the area or face more attacks. The political administration arrested Ahmad Shah Shinwari, Mian Wali Shinwari, Ibrar and Shams - the owners of the music centres - for investigation. Meanwhile, flood-affected people in Khyber Agency protested against the government on Independence Day and refused the political administration's request to take down the black flags of mourning flying over their houses. |
