An activist of the banned religious group, Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan, was murdered allegedly by his class fellow on Thursday, after they had a disagreement over a religious issue, at a religious seminary in Sargodha, some 170 miles north-east of Multan.

âMuhammad Asif, an activist of the banned Jihadi organisation and a student of a local religious seminary called Siraj-ul-Aloom was killed by his classmate Fasihuddin,â said DPO Sargodha. âThe killer has run away but we have arrested three accomplices, Noman Ahmed, Mazahirullah and Muhammad Akbar.â The father of the deceased has refused to get a murder case registered against Fasih and his accomplices. He said that his son laid down his life for the cause of Islam and was a martyr.
